ABOUT US
Greeting
Welcome to the Institute for Transitional Justice and Integration's website!

The Institute for Transitional Justice and Integration (ITJI) is a civil society think tank that strives to pave a path for a peaceful unification and genuine integration in a unified Korean society.

With the increasing hostility and conflict that has become deeply rooted into Korean society since division, sincere efforts must be made to unroot this animosity in order to prepare for unification. In order to solve this issue, since May 2013 ITJI has provided a platform for professionals from various fields including lawyers, academics, journalists, North Korean researchers and human rights activists to meet once a month. With its formal establishment in 2015, ITJI's monthly research meetings have developed into an intellectual arena to analyze cases of transitional justice around the world and study different methods and solutions. ITJI works towards discussing the definition, scope and recipients of transitional justice across multi-disciplinary fields as well as finding the best solution for social integration.

ITJI works surely but steadily to delve deeper into the problems needed to be tackled for social integration in the process of unification. With the confidence that unification will soon become a reality, our organization works hard to bring about a peaceful unification through true integration. I invite you to not only support us, but to join us in this mission.
Sincerely,

- Myeong-Seop Han, Director of the Institute for Transitional Justice and Integration -
